A satirical trading-card style image starring "Factory Firestorm Xi" - caricature of Xi Jinping towering over a missile-production boom converting farmland into factories. A vivid metaphor for China's rapid expansion of missile manufacturing capacity and what it signals for global military balance.
According to analysis by CNN, satellite imagery and government data show that China has significantly expanded more than 60 % of 136 known missile-production and missile-force facilities between 2020 and 2025, adding over 2 million square meters of new built-space. The built-up areas include new towers, bunkers and hangars, and in some cases visible missile components. The rapid expansion is interpreted by analysts as China positioning itself for a new arms race and strengthening its ability for regional deterrence and global military competition.
