Unions’ actions on charter schools contrast with rhetoric
Unions piece by GoldwaterInstitute: Jay P. Greene (4/20/09)

On education policy, appeasement is about as ineffective as it is in foreign affairs. Many proponents of school choice, especially Democrats, have tried to appease teachers unions by limiting their support to charter schools while opposing private school vouchers. They hope that by sacrificing vouchers, the unions will spare charter schools from political destruction.

A State Named Palestine Will Bring No Peace To The Middle East!
Middle East piece by J. D. Longstreet (4/20/09)

The Obama Administration is hell-bent on a “Two-State” answer to the Israeli/“so-called” Palestinian conflict. So was the Bush Administration. Bush was wrong and so is Mr. Obama.

JAG Corps “Keistered” Justice In Foster Case
Law piece by Jayme Evans (4/20/09)

No military prosecutions in recent history have garnered as much negative publicity for the U.S. Marines as have the cases of the Marines of 3/1 Kilo Company, ambushed in Haditha, Iraq, in November of 2005. But the wrongful conviction and imprisonment of another Marine further reinforces the public perception of something institutionally corrupt about the Navy Judge Advocate General Corps’ application of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

   ObamaNation piece by Editor (4/19/09)

   ObamaNation piece by Offsite (4/19/09)

19 April 2009: Even as average Americans were planning to get out in towns and cities to demonstrate against Big Government and Big Taxes, Federal Bureau of Intelligence Investigation (FBI) surveillance was being unleashed upon them.  In fact, unsuspecting Tax Day TEA Party participants were being closely watched during the demonstration planning stages in a covert operation that began on or about March 23, 2009.

So Far The Republic Has Managed To Exist In Spite Of The Progressives
Progressivism piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (4/19/09)

Global Warming piece by Guest: Dennis T. Avery (4/19/09)

The global cooling trend that began early in 2007 continues. America’s official global reading for March, 2009 has been issued by Goddard Space Institute. The month was the coldest of this young century and colder than March of 1990. The satellite records show an even stronger recent cooling trend.

GreeenIsm piece by Alan Caruba (4/19/09)

‘Is Cigarette Control Turning Citizens into Criminals?‘
Progressivism piece by Jim Kouri (4/19/09)

As the price of cigarettes rises—in the New York City metropolitan area they cost nearly $10.00 per pack or about $100.00 for a carton of ten packs—and there are more and more government programs aimed at controlling sale and use, the US and state governments are creating a new and profitable organized crime enterprise.

Desert Clash in West Over Solar Potential, Water
   GreeenIsm piece by Offsite (4/18/09)

OAKLAND, Calif. -(AP)- A westward dash to power electricity-hungry cities by cashing in on the desert’s most abundant resource - sunshine - is clashing with efforts to protect the tiny pupfish and desert tortoise and stinginess over the region’s rarest resource: water.

Middle East piece by Offsite (4/18/09)

Snappy Comebacks to Leftist Lies about the Tea Parties
Politics piece by Thomas Lindaman (4/18/09)

As soon as the Tea Parties began, it happened. I’m not referring to the feelings of fellowship or the expression of Americans’ desire to get government off our backs, although those were certainly there in vast quantities.

Government piece by Doug Edelman (4/18/09)

Lettuce Consider College Professors or ‘teachers’
EdukShun piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (4/17/09)

I was recently informed that colleges have ‘teachers’, dumb me thought they were called Professors.  Political Correctness I guess.

The producer of the film “Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected” was handcuffed and thrown off the campus of the University of Southern California for asking questions outside the hall where network anchor Katie Couric was to receive an award for her role in the presidential campaign.

It’s not over yet! 25 upcoming protests scheduled for 16 states - SACRAMENTO - As many as 1 million Americans showed up at nationwide tea parties on Tax Day - and reports are still pouring in - but what’s the next step for the movement?

What Recession? Funds Flow Into 2010 Senate Races
   Elections piece by Offsite (4/17/09)

WASHINGTON -(Reuters) -  The recession shadowing the United States and draining Americans’ savings has hardly dented efforts by Senate candidates to raise cash for the 2010 elections, and Democrats appear ahead early in the game.

Million Taxpayer March
   Politics piece by Offsite (4/17/09)

Let’s use liberal math to calculate attendance at this week’s nationwide Tax Day Tea Party protests. When left-wing activists make crowd estimates, the algorithm is: six figures = one million. An incomplete survey of newspaper accounts and organizer estimates pegged the Tea Party protest population at a minimum of 250,000. We can now, therefore, officially call it the Million Taxpayer March.

NYTimes Anti-Gun Agenda: Using Discredited Anti-Gun Statistic on Mexican Gun Purchases in U.S.
Police State piece by Warner Todd Huston (4/17/09)

Once again The New York Times unleashes a not-so-hidden agenda on its reading public. Here the Times is regurgitating the debunked claim(1) that “90%“ of Mexico’s recovered guns used in crime south of the border are from U.S. gun dealers. There is a lot of misdirection in this piece against gun dealers and gun shows, as well. Contradictory claims are made with no proof offered but the say so of The Times.

Government piece by Guest: Armand C. Hale (4/17/09)

The only people that will gain from destroying the Republic and creating a Marxist Socialist UPSSA are the elitist leadership!
