‘Legislature and Governor caught in a trap?‘
Government piece by GoldwaterInstitute:
Matthew Ladner (3/2/09)
In one episode of Fox’s under-appreciated early 1990s western comedy “The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr.“ the heroes teamed up with a sheriff to pursue a group of bad guys into a local mine. The bad guys gave the good guys the slip, and then closed entrance to the mine with dynamite. The sheriff, who just happened to look and dress like a 1972-version of Elvis Presley, declared in a Tupelo drawl, “We’re caught in a trap! Can’t walk out!“
We will win this war. . .

Carolyn Hileman (3/2/09)
Several thousand people protested in Greenville, 300 people in Michigan, 600 in Nashville, Sand Diego another 600, in Atlanta 200 people stood in the driving rain to protest, St Louis arch 1500, in Kansas about 200 people stood in 28 degree weather to protest and that is just the ones I could find information about. What were they protesting? They were protesting being forced to pay someone else’s way when they are having enough trouble paying their own. They were protesting a stimulus package shoved down the throats of the tax paying Americans and the fact that when the people called and emailed them daily; telling them no, they said yes and we will have to pay for this the rest of our lives and then our kids will pay and their kids will pay and the people are sick of it and we are ready to revolt. The LA times reported, you got to love this that there were tea parties across the nation but few showed up, tell me that is not propaganda, tell those people who stood in below freezing temperatures and driving rain that just a few showed up.
More on Where Our Schools go Wrong
EdukShun piece by Warner Todd Huston
(3/2/09)
U.S. colleges are demanding. That’s right they are sternly demanding. You see, they are all upset that the Japanese government is not promoting study abroad for its citizens and they are demanding that the Japanese government get more of its citizens to pony up the cash for a U.S. college degree and if the people won’t do it, why these U.S. colleges demand that the government do it in their stead.

The purpose of IBOR is to protect financial markets and to create self-sufficient investors who produce economic growth instead of government deficits. IBOR standards create transparent financial markets, regulate speculation, and protect retirement portfolios.
UN Treaty Says Children’s Rights Outweigh Parental Rights
United Nations piece by J. D. Longstreet
(3/2/09)
This treaty would ban spanking, home schooling, and even church attendance ... if the kids reject them! - What we are writing about here is… the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child. This horrific UN treaty has been around for a good 20 years now and 193 countries have signed on to it. Only two countries have not signed it. The US and Somalia! (Go figure!)

‘Editorial: Where Will The Elites Hide?‘
Elitists piece by Editor
(3/1/09)
As the Republic is destroyed, the engineers need to find a place to hunker down. Many of them have estates and plantations so they will hire private militias and security firms to protect them from the screaming hordes. However the juniors will be hard pressed to protect themselves from the general anarchy coming soon to most all neighborhoods.

The High Price of Climate Lies
Global Warming piece by Alan Caruba
(3/1/09)
The global warming hoax didn’t happen over night. It is generally dated from an appearance before Congress by Dr. James E. Hansen in 1988 predicting a dramatic rise in the Earth’s temperature based on the increase of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. At that time, Dr. Hansen, Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, warned that steps had to be taken quickly to reduce CO2 emissions.

Washington, D.C. - An unnamed industry group is reportedly encouraging Congress to impose a “carbon cap-and-tax-and-tax” plan on its own customers, a plan that would dramatically raise energy prices in the midst of an economic recession, the Congress of Racial Equality charged in a national speech today.

Capitalism 101
Economics piece by Offsite
(3/1/09)
In recent years we have been witnessing the rise of a trend, which has become more pronounced with the unfolding of the current economic crisis: An ever-growing number of our fellow citizens are becoming distrustful and suspicious of capitalism. As a result, capitalism is being increasingly seen by more and more people as exploitative, unfair, harmful and outright immoral.
Silenced in Speech Class
EdukShun piece by Offsite
(3/1/09)
I attended a small Catholic university in Philadelphia, but aside from a handful of professors who asked students to engage in a brief prayer before class, along with the preponderance of faculty and students who participated in Ash Wednesday, the school’s religious bent played no impact on the education I received.
