ou think you are a law abiding citizen, don’t you?  Think again!  You have been, you are now, and you will continue to break the law for the rest of your life, because there are too many laws, with millions more laws to follow.  Many of these laws are totally unconstitutional but have never been challenged in the courts.  Sometimes you break the law without any knowledge of it, even though ignorance of the law is not an excuse, if you are caught.  But worse, millions are breaking the law because they are convinced the laws are illegal, or just plain stupid.  With more people intentionally breaking the law, eventually the rule of law breaks down, as does our Republic.

Barack Obama is trying to end a recession and spark a recovery by the highly dubious means of shoveling vast amounts of federal dollars into domestic spending.  He is consciously trying to mimic FDR and the New Deal.  There is only one problem with this:  FDR’s New Deal was an economic failure.  Roosevelt tried a variety of different projects, programs, and spending to get us out of the Great Depression.  Some of those, like the National Recovery Administration, were quite consciously modeled after the policies of Fascist Italy.  Yet four years after Roosevelt took office, the economy was in worse shape than when he was elected.

Remember when you were a kid and you and your friends would go out and toss around the old pigskin?  Then along came the Nerf football?  They were softer and squishy; a lot easier to handle and a lot more forgiving than the harder, antiquated leather version of the football right?  Since that time, Nerf has made a fortune converting other items from their original version to these kinder and gentler forms as well.  Today there are Nerf soccer balls, Nerf swords and even Nerf guns.  This popularity of these items has lead to the term “nerf” being used to represent a weakening of something.  Online gamers, for example, use the term “nerf” freely whenever their characters get an adjustment from game developers once the players are determined to be too powerful by the powers that be.
