In June 2005, I reported on the UN’s efforts to recruit the nation’s mayors to directly impose Sustainable Development policy into our local communities. The Mayors weren’t there to simply discuss policy, they committed to an agenda with specific goals. And the results are now clearly being seen in more than 400 communities in 48 states.

There has been an economic crisis in Deep South Texas forever… and government couldn’t handle it.  Charitable organizations have been the main answer to the plight of thousands, who despite more than 40 years of political promises have remained at the low end of the economic scale.  Those left fighting for some improvement in their quality of life are predominantly Hispanic, indigent and among the working poor.  The region is historically Democrat in its voting history, but forgotten when Democrats are in power and ignored when Republicans control government purse strings.

“The Obama” is off and running.  His sharp left turn, which was predicted by conservative writers, commentators and pundits, is now apparent for all to see.  But, by far the DUMBEST thing, in my estimation, he has done to date, is ordering the Department of Transportation to develop higher fuel efficiency standards for cars.  Car efficiency standards are already creaming the US carmakers while, those same car makers are getting a government bailout at the same time.  Does that seem the least bit off-kilter to you?  Well, it does to me!  Is this DUMB, or what?

It is a safe bet that no one picked the Arizona Cardinals to reach the Super Bowl during NFL pre-season last summer.  If someone had picked the Cardinals to play in the big game it is very likely that someone would have counted on Kurt Warner being the starting quarterback.  Yet this Sunday it will be the 37-year-old Warner who will attempt the lead the Cardinals to their first ever Super Bowl and first title for the franchise since the Cardinals won the NFL Championship in 1947 when they called Chicago home.

We think this is just one more indication that we have been correct in declaring that the earth is on the cusp of a re-freeze, another ice age… not a planet wide warm-up or “Climate Change” as the adherents to the gospel of “Global Warming” have taken to calling it (since so much of what they have declared has been debunked and more debunking is happening every day).
