Editorial: Mr. Obama You Can Be A President Or A Political Hack It’s Your Choice
   ObamaNation piece by Editor (1/31/09)

The “Stimulus Bill” is a vehicle to finance Socialism.  Mr. Obama, a veto would make you a hero with the Real America. If the Congress overrides your veto,  they will own the coming endless Depression and you will be the good guy.

Progressives Are Pushing The Envelope And May Well Soon Regret It
Progressivism piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (1/31/09)

The Democrat Progressive House has gone nuts, with the Senate not far behind.  President Obama spends each day creating or signing Progressive executive orders and signing Progressive bills.

Welcome to Flyover Country
   Elitists piece by Offsite (1/31/09)

The name of my column is Real America. I try to give opinion and commentary from Flyover Country, where I live. - Take out a map of the U.S. and mark the biggest cities in red. You’ll likely circle such places as Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.

Palestine - George Mitchell Munches On Middle East Lunches
Middle East piece by Offsite (1/31/09)

President Obama’s newly appointed Middle East Envoy - George Mitchell - has been traipsing through the Middle East on a look and listen tour to learn the views of players in Cairo, Jerusalem, Ramallah and Amman on the present state of play in resolving the Arab-Jewish conflict that has raged unresolved for the last 130 years.

Trojan Horse
   Socialism piece by Offsite (1/31/09)

The House of Representatives has already approved, and the Senate is pontificating on—er “taking up,“—the first major legislative package of the Obama administration. When considering the $900 billion monster, leave aside for the moment the two obvious questions of whether we can afford this bill and whether it can stimulate economic growth. There is, in fact, another salient line of questions going unpondered—the question of what policies the package promotes, and what their long-term impact will be.

The Stimulus Bill: Look for the Union Label
   Unions piece by Offsite (1/31/09)

In sports they call it a misdirect; magicians and illusionists will slip a card into the deck while they distract you elsewhere. What President Obama is doing with the 647-page, $825 billion so-called “stimulus package” legislation is closest to the tried-and-true tactics of a team of pick-pockets. One grabs your attention by yelling about some emergency problem, while the other slips his hand in for your wallet. Before knowing it, you have been robbed blind.

‘Terrorists Getting Mexican Passports?‘
   Terrorism piece by Offsite (1/31/09)

An Americas Report news investigation shows individuals posing a terror threat to the United States are increasingly obtaining access to stolen or doctored passports, which then can be used to obtain visas to enter the U.S. with the purpose of carrying out terrorist attacks.

The Stalingrad of Sovietism
Socialism piece by Bruce Walker (1/31/09)

Twenty years ago, the Kremlin lost its own Battle of Stalingrad:  Communist Poland formally legalized Solidarity, a labor union that truly was a labor union.  In 1943, after the Battle of Stalingrad, it was certain that Hitler could not “win” the war (i.e. he could not achieve the sort of military advantage which would force the democracies to make peace with him.)  The Red Army, growing stronger by the day, would fight the bulk of the German land forces until the overwhelming material superiority of America would lead to the absolute defeat of the Axis.  There would be respite for the Wehrmacht, like the destruction of the Soviet Sixth Army in the Spring of 1943, but the Germans could do nothing to prevent the inevitable conquest of their country.

Stimulus-plan doubts push Dow under 8,000
   Economics piece by Offsite (1/31/09)

In a clear sign investors are not impressed with the Obama administration’s economic stimulus plan that involves generating nearly $1 trillion in new government debt, the Dow Jones Industrial Average today dipped under the benchmark 8,000 level.

Obama Presidency: Terrorism, Organized Crime and International Affairs
National Security piece by Jim Kouri (1/31/09)

America’s new president—Barack Obama—will face more and more international problems and crises, according to law enforcement officials.

Lines In The Beach Sand. . .
ObamaNation piece by John Ross (1/31/09)

After a high tide, much like a national election, there is a period where the sand is smooth from the effects of the pounding surf on the sand similar to a ‘presidential election honeymoon.‘  Soon after the surf recedes Gods’ little creatures return to their habitat, or in the case of politicians ‘scene of the crime’ resuming their instinctual modes of existence.  Predicated upon the location God’s creatures find themselves in this food chain naturally dictates the level of preoccupation and energy they will expend on protecting ‘their turf’ on the beach.

The Non-News
MSM piece by J.J. Jackson (1/31/09)

It is a da*n good thing for the press that I am an ardent supporter of a free press.  If I were not, being as incensed and livid at what passes for a “press” in this country as I am right now, I would probably be calling for their regulation to ensure that they actually cover things that are really news in their so called newscasts.  As many of you know, although many of you may not care, Sunday is the NFL Championship.  This event is either referred to as the Super Bowl (if you do not fear that the NFL will sue you for daring to use the name) or “The Big Game” (if you do fear that the NFL will sue you for daring to use the name).  The contest will pit the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Arizona Cardinals and is the focus of a great deal of coverage here in my home city of Pittsburgh.

Asia’s Brown Pollution Cloud: Caused by Renewable Fuels!
GreeenIsm piece by Guest: Dennis T. Avery (1/31/09)

That vast cloud of brown pollution hanging over Asia comes from wood and cattle dung being burned in millions of Third World home-fires, according to Orjan Gustafsson, a bio-geochemist from Stockholm University. Gustaffsson recently tested the smoke of the Asian brown cloud with a newly developed radiocarbon technique - and found that two-thirds of the brown cloud’s particles are organic matter, mostly wood, straw and dung.

Rampant Unions Will Insure A Depressed Economy
Unions piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (1/30/09)

The Democrat Congress and President Obama are bound and determined to promotion of Unionization of American workers.  If they get their way, productivity will plunge.

Obama, Pelosi and Reid Push to Dig National Hole Deeper
Socialism piece by JB Williams (1/30/09)

Predicting the future is a task made much easier if you first take a few moments to study the past. Humans are creatures of habit, and if they are poor students of history, then history tends to repeat.

Obama’s WH Chief of Staff Holds Daily, Secret Calls With Pals in Media
ObamaNation piece by Warner Todd Huston (1/30/09)

Rahm Emanuel holds daily chit chat sessions with several Old Media pals(1) every morning to start his day. Apparently Emanuel has for years been involved with daily bull sessions to plan media coverage and ideological strategy with CNN’s James Carville and Paul Begala, as well as ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, with the occasional participation of pollster Stan Greenberg. But there is one little problem with this daily palling around with mediots these days: Emanuel now works for the White House.

Good Job Loyal Opposition, Keep it up!!!
Republicrats piece by Guest: Greg Fink (1/30/09)

To all you elected conservatives in D.C., “GOOD JOB”!  And yes, I really do mean that and truly, so do the millions of concerned citizens who flooded your offices day in and day out about their anger for any more frivolous spending from the federal government.

The Case Against Global Governance
   NewWorldOrder piece by J. D. Longstreet (1/30/09)

Is a one-world government inevitable? It certainly looks that way!  At least it does if you buy into the theory of how good a one-world government would be for the world.  I do not.

The Obama Political Honeymoon Is Over
Politics piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (1/29/09)

For what it matters, his poll ratings are already slipping: something like 64% today.  Polls are often distorted and fabricated,  the only valid view is regards general trends.

Democratic ‘Stimulus’ Is Socialist Payoff
   Demercrats piece by Offsite (1/29/09)

After decades of watching their extravagant, wooly-headed, far-left programs languish in never-never land, Democrats now are realizing their once-forlorn hopes for a return to the good old days. Massive giveaways for their pet socialist schemes - and payoffs to labor unions and other financial supporters - now will be the order of the day.

Now Running Windows 7 Ultimate Beta! (Update III)
   General piece by Editor (1/29/09)

Still configuring, etc.  But looks reasonable so far.

Global Taxes and Global TV Now on the Agenda
NewWorldOrder piece by Cliff Kincaid (1/29/09)

President Obama’s pick for Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, is being urged to lay the foundation for “global governance” by considering “international taxation” measures to loot more money from U.S. taxpayers.

The 44th President, the Price and Promise of Citizenship
Elections piece by FreeCongressFoundation: E. Ralph Hostetter (1/29/09)

The euphoric response of the general public to the inauguration of President Barack H. Obama gave the ceremony the appearance of a coronation rather than an inauguration. The area in Washington, D.C. known as the Mall, to the west of the United States Capitol, was filled to overflowing. The crowd was estimated to be 1.8 million people, making President Obama’s inauguration one of the best attended celebrations in history.

Limbaugh is talk host king, not leader of GOP
   Politics piece by Offsite (1/29/09)

(01-28) 20:19 PST —President Obama has made his first tactical error of his young presidency: He called out conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

Obama Suggested FDR’s ‘New Deal’ Was Too Small, House Republicans Say
   ObamaNation piece by Offsite (1/29/09)

(CNSNews) - In a closed-door meeting with House Republicans on Tuesday to discuss the $819-billion economic stimulus bill, President Obama suggested that Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal failed because it was too small, Reps. Steve King (R-Iowa) and Rob Bishop (R-Utah), who attended the meeting, told CNSNews.

Gore Warns Global Warming Will Bring Civilization to a ‘Screeching Halt’
Global Warming piece by Offsite (1/29/09)

(CNSNews) - Former Vice President Al Gore told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Wednesday that if action is not taken by the United States to curb greenhouse gas emissions, the world as we know it could disappear.

Almost Half the Spending in Stimulus Bill Would Not Happen for at Least Two Years, Says CBO Analysis
   Demercrats piece by Offsite (1/29/09)

(CNSNews.com) – Although the argument for quickly passing the $800-billion-plus stimulus bill now before Congress is that pumping money into the economy immediately will spur economic growth and create jobs, almost half of the new spending - as opposed to tax cuts - being proposed in the bill would not be spent until at least two years from now, according to an analysis published by the Congressional Budget Office.

States doing poor job of teacher evaluation
   EdukShun piece by Offsite (1/29/09)

WASHINGTON - (AP) States are not doing what it takes to keep good teachers and remove bad ones, a national study found.

‘ MURDER SET-UP AT PALIN’S CHURCH?‘
Progressivism piece by Grant Swank (1/29/09)

There are those in Wasilla who conclude that someone from outside the town came to town to kill someone or someones.

Gutsy Justice of the Peace unplugs speed cameras
Law piece by GoldwaterInstitute: Clint Bolick (1/29/09)

West Valley Justice of the Peace John Keegan, a former state legislator and Peoria mayor, rocked Arizona’s legal world with his recent ruling that the statute authorizing highway speed cameras is “unconstitutional and unenforceable within the jurisdiction of this court.“
