A Dime’s Worth Of Difference Is Not Enough
Republicrats piece by J.J. Jackson
(3/21/10)
Conservatives are in an abusive relationship with a lying, cheating and stealing spouse. And just so there is no mistaking who I am referring to, I am talking about the GOP. A lot of conservatives are fed up and, if you ask me, rightfully so with the party that they have called home. Republicans have for decades talked a good talk but have never really walked the walk relying on the fact that conservatives have nowhere else to go. They certainly are not going to become Democrats and other parties like the Libertarian and Constitution Parties have failed to woo conservatives to their ranks in any significant number for a variety of reasons.

The Causes and Consequences of Liberal Superiority Complex
Progressivism piece by Thomas E. Brewton
(3/20/10)
Liberal-progressive-socialists, from Henri de Saint-Simon and Auguste Comte in the 1800s and Karl Marx in the mid-1800s, to present-day liberal-progressive members of the Democrat/Socialist Party, have believed as an article of secular religious faith that their superior intellects alone are capable of intuiting the inevitable course of history. Those who disagree with their reading are written off as cranks or imbeciles, unworthy of serious consideration.

Unemployment Tied to Lack of Immigration Enforcement
Employment/Jobs piece by Jim Kouri
(3/18/10)
Although President Obama says creating jobs is his top priority, his failure to enforce immigration laws at worksites has led to job losses for American workers.(1) That is the message of a new television ad campaign by Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) and allied organizations concerned about unemployment.
NPR: ‘Patriots’ Are Dangerous to Our Government
Progressivism piece by Warner Todd Huston
(3/18/10)
Public supported National Public Radio (NPR) posted a report on March 17 during its “All Things Considered” radio show that warns its listeners that “patriot groups” are dangerous and are apparently increasingly prone to attacking government officials and facilities. Oddly the two examples it uses to prove its case have no ties whatsoever to any “patriot groups.“
And That’s All He Has to Say about That: Tom Hanks and Twisted History
Bird-Brain Flu piece by Selwyn Duke
(3/18/10)
Stupid is as Hollywood does . . . and does and does and does. And the latest example is Forrest Hanks, who has just managed to graduate - in the Tinseltown U. way of thinking - from moron to imbecile.

Two years of cooling has destroyed global warming consensus
Climate Change piece by Guest:
Gregory J. Rummo (3/5/09)
Last June I found myself somewhere over Central America at about 37,000 feet in a 757, en route to the Andes Mountains in Peru for an annual missionary trek that I have been a part of since 1999. While getting a cup of coffee in the galley in the rear of the aircraft, I struck up a conversation with a Peruvian who wanted to know what a Gringo was doing traveling to his country for the eighth time in ten years. I explained that our treks through the mountains to visit different villages of indigenous Quechua often took us through passes or pasos de portachuelos at the edge of snow fields starting around 16,000 feet.
Free speech litmus test proposed
Big Brother piece by Offsite
(3/5/09)
‘Durbin Doctrine’ includes ‘frightening new government censorship powers’ - Free speech advocates have raised alarms over the possibility of a new so-called “Fairness Doctrine” that would regulate speech over the radio airwaves, and now one media leader has suggested a litmus test is needed to protect First Amendment rights from President Obama and his appointees.
Obamanomics sending America reeling
ObamaNation piece by GoldwaterInstitute:
Clint Bolick (3/5/09)
I think I understand Obamanomics. I buy a yacht that I can’t afford. I default on the loan. The bill is sent to my children and future grandchildren (and to yours). The best part: I get to keep sailing.
It’s the Sun, stupid!
Global Warming piece by Guest:
Willie Soon (3/5/09)
New direct evidence demonstrate that changes in solar activity influence climate - The theory that climate change is chiefly caused by solar influences “is no longer tenable,“ says US National Academy of Sciences president Ralph Cicerone. Carbon dioxide, he argues, is the key driver of recent climate change. I beg to differ.
Snowmen Rejoice at Latest Climate News
Global Warming piece by Offsite
(3/5/09)

Criminal Aliens Invading US While President Obama Fiddles
National Security piece by Jim Kouri
(3/5/09)
It’s old news that the Mexican government exports Mexico’s poorest citizens into the United States for a number of reasons: It relieves them of the responsibility of providing social and healthcare services for them; it provides their country’s economy with an influx of US cash when these illegal workers send money they earn in the US back home; and it defuses problems with far-left groups who are usually successful in using the poor to advance their political agenda.
States’ Sovereignty Granted by the US Constitution
Big Brother piece by J. D. Longstreet
(3/5/09)
Every so often an issue comes along that continues to nag at me until it precipitates some sort of action. The “State Sovereignty Movement” has done that.

The Supreme Court’s 1-2 punch
Law piece by Offsite

Bush got two things right as president: his two appointments to the Supreme Court, John Roberts and Sam Alito.
Sweden’s government health care
Health piece by Offsite
(3/4/09)
Government health care advocates used to sing the praises of Britain’s National Health Service, or NHS. That’s until its poor delivery of health care services became known. A recent study by David Green and Laura Casper, “Delay, Denial and Dilution,“ written for the London-based Institute of Economic Affairs, concludes that the NHS health care services are just about the worst in the developed world.

Romney and the Rebirth of the Republican Party
Politics piece by Bruce Walker
(3/4/09)
The rebirth of the Republican Party and the revitalization of the conservative message might just start with Mitt Romney becoming Governor Romney again. Republicans lack much ability to stop the Obama agenda at the national level. Even with real gains in both houses of Congress, Republicans have no real shot at controlling Congress after the 2010 mid-term elections.

“You do not examine legislation in the light of the benefits it will convey if properly administered, but in the light of the wrongs it would do and the harms it would cause if improperly administered.“ —President Lyndon B. Johnson

The Same Constitutional Prohibitions and the Same Politics of Nonconformity
Congress piece by FreeCongressFoundation:
Marion Edwyn Harrison (3/3/09)
The District of Columbia as a Fake State - Some proposals in Congress have a recurring lifespan, patent political and clearly unconstitutional though the proposals may be. Doubtless foremost in this unhealthy category is legislation to create for Washington, District of [Columbia or Confusion?] a voting Representative in Congress, just as though it were a State of the Union and the Constitution were to be ignored.

This is way bigger than Rush
Progressivism piece by Offsite
(3/3/09)
The Democrats, along with those on the right who seem more worried about incurring the disdain of the wrongheaded left than of their fellow patriots, are feverishly promoting their Saul Alinsky-inspired scheme to demonize and divide their most effective political opponents.

Republicrats piece by Offsite
(3/3/09)
The grassroots base around the country has been ignited by a brief, but powerful comment. The comment, made by Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele was directed at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh. It turns out that Steele felt it was necessary to denounce Limbaugh and establish his own manhood in front of a CNN audience.
‘Who Is John Galt?‘
Society piece by Thomas Lindaman
(3/3/09)
Perhaps one of the great literary questions ever written is the title of this piece. For years, it has become almost a code or a password for those familiar with Atlas Shrugged to exchange as a lament for current economic or societal conditions.

‘Legislature and Governor caught in a trap?‘
Government piece by GoldwaterInstitute:
Matthew Ladner (3/2/09)
In one episode of Fox’s under-appreciated early 1990s western comedy “The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr.“ the heroes teamed up with a sheriff to pursue a group of bad guys into a local mine. The bad guys gave the good guys the slip, and then closed entrance to the mine with dynamite. The sheriff, who just happened to look and dress like a 1972-version of Elvis Presley, declared in a Tupelo drawl, “We’re caught in a trap! Can’t walk out!“
We will win this war. . .
Government piece by Guest:
Carolyn Hileman (3/2/09)
Several thousand people protested in Greenville, 300 people in Michigan, 600 in Nashville, Sand Diego another 600, in Atlanta 200 people stood in the driving rain to protest, St Louis arch 1500, in Kansas about 200 people stood in 28 degree weather to protest and that is just the ones I could find information about. What were they protesting? They were protesting being forced to pay someone else’s way when they are having enough trouble paying their own. They were protesting a stimulus package shoved down the throats of the tax paying Americans and the fact that when the people called and emailed them daily; telling them no, they said yes and we will have to pay for this the rest of our lives and then our kids will pay and their kids will pay and the people are sick of it and we are ready to revolt. The LA times reported, you got to love this that there were tea parties across the nation but few showed up, tell me that is not propaganda, tell those people who stood in below freezing temperatures and driving rain that just a few showed up.
More on Where Our Schools go Wrong
EdukShun piece by Warner Todd Huston
(3/2/09)
U.S. colleges are demanding. That’s right they are sternly demanding. You see, they are all upset that the Japanese government is not promoting study abroad for its citizens and they are demanding that the Japanese government get more of its citizens to pony up the cash for a U.S. college degree and if the people won’t do it, why these U.S. colleges demand that the government do it in their stead.
