A Dime’s Worth Of Difference Is Not Enough
Republicrats piece by J.J. Jackson
(3/21/10)
Conservatives are in an abusive relationship with a lying, cheating and stealing spouse. And just so there is no mistaking who I am referring to, I am talking about the GOP. A lot of conservatives are fed up and, if you ask me, rightfully so with the party that they have called home. Republicans have for decades talked a good talk but have never really walked the walk relying on the fact that conservatives have nowhere else to go. They certainly are not going to become Democrats and other parties like the Libertarian and Constitution Parties have failed to woo conservatives to their ranks in any significant number for a variety of reasons.

The Causes and Consequences of Liberal Superiority Complex
Progressivism piece by Thomas E. Brewton
(3/20/10)
Liberal-progressive-socialists, from Henri de Saint-Simon and Auguste Comte in the 1800s and Karl Marx in the mid-1800s, to present-day liberal-progressive members of the Democrat/Socialist Party, have believed as an article of secular religious faith that their superior intellects alone are capable of intuiting the inevitable course of history. Those who disagree with their reading are written off as cranks or imbeciles, unworthy of serious consideration.

Unemployment Tied to Lack of Immigration Enforcement
Employment/Jobs piece by Jim Kouri
(3/18/10)
Although President Obama says creating jobs is his top priority, his failure to enforce immigration laws at worksites has led to job losses for American workers.(1) That is the message of a new television ad campaign by Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) and allied organizations concerned about unemployment.
NPR: ‘Patriots’ Are Dangerous to Our Government
Progressivism piece by Warner Todd Huston
(3/18/10)
Public supported National Public Radio (NPR) posted a report on March 17 during its “All Things Considered” radio show that warns its listeners that “patriot groups” are dangerous and are apparently increasingly prone to attacking government officials and facilities. Oddly the two examples it uses to prove its case have no ties whatsoever to any “patriot groups.“
And That’s All He Has to Say about That: Tom Hanks and Twisted History
Bird-Brain Flu piece by Selwyn Duke
(3/18/10)
Stupid is as Hollywood does . . . and does and does and does. And the latest example is Forrest Hanks, who has just managed to graduate - in the Tinseltown U. way of thinking - from moron to imbecile.

The real State of the Union
Politics piece by Offsite
(1/25/10)
We already know that the president will deliver an eloquent State of the Union address filled with exaggerated accomplishments and some not-so-subtle blame-Bush references. Whereas the president must try to be as optimistic as possible, we must also be realistic about the state of the union through the voice of the people, because problems do not fix themselves.
Next up: Obama wants your retirement money
Socialism piece by Offsite
(1/25/10)
Trillion-dollar deficits as far as the eye can see are not going down well with voters. The president has plans for even more big spending. The Chinese have said there’s not enough money in the world to finance U.S. debt. Already, the annual federal deficit is being financed by selling 80 percent of the Treasury notes and bonds – to the Federal Reserve! Obama needs lots of real money, and he needs it now.
Government cutters must fight unions
Unions piece by Offsite
(1/25/10)
Any Republican effort to cut back the size of government will run straight into a battle with the unions - not the traditional industrial unions that have long formed the backbone of the Democratic Party, but government unions. According to data released last week, for the first time in history, more than 50 percent of union members work for the federal, state or local government.

The New Political Rumbling
Politics piece by Offsite
(1/24/10)
Massachusetts may signal an end to old ways of fighting - What does the Massachusetts election mean? It means America is in play again. The 2008 election settled nothing, not even for a while. Our national politics are reflecting what appears to be going on geologically, on the bottom of the oceans and beneath the crust of the Earth: the tectonic plates are moving.

Praise for Scott Brown Being Reserved
Senate piece by J.J. Jackson
(1/23/10)
Scott Brown’s election to one of Massachusetts’ Senate seats was a foregone conclusion to anyone watching the polls. Martha Coakley did not stand a chance on Election Day. She was a dead woman walking for trying to sugar coat her support of unpopular policies. No number of buses packed with ACORN bought voters or SEIU members could have saved her from her own incompetence.

A Colonel Nicholson moment for Massachusetts
Elections piece by Guest:
Peter Lemiska (1/22/10)
Most of us over the age of 50 remember the epic World War II film, “The Bridge on the River Kwai.” It told a powerful story of the courage and determination of a group of British prisoners of war in Burma, forced to construct a railroad bridge in support of the Japanese war effort. The senior member of the group was Colonel Nicholson, portrayed by Alec Guinness.

Adolf Hitler: Mm, mm, mm!
Social Engineering piece by Offsite
(1/22/10)
It may be that the “Mm, mm, mm” song is the trend of a new generation. But I still can’t forget my favorite childhood song from “Sesame Street,“ where they flashed four pictures and sang: “One of these things is not like the other; one of these things just doesn’t belong.“ It was up to discerning children to figure out that picture of the vegetable didn’t belong in the group of fruits, or that a letter didn’t belong in the group of numbers. Children are smart, you know!
‘Fox News’ liberal future?‘
Information piece by Offsite
(1/22/10)
Once Fox News was launched, it didn’t take the world long to realize a heretofore well-hidden fact: Most Americans have conservative values. Fox was a dagger in the hearts of left-wing anchormen who had long ago become used to creating their own news stories by leaving out pertinent facts and adding in knowingly false information – and, often, simply ignoring news items altogether that didn’t fit in with their liberal agenda.

The Results of a Complicated Tax System
Taxes piece by Kevin Price
(1/21/10)
The Obama Administration loves to sing the praises of “transparency,“ but finding such in any aspect of our government is difficult to say the least. Recently the Internal Revenue Service started to bang the drum on the importance of reducing errors and fraud by placing pressure on tax preparation services like H and R Block. These companies are taking the blame for poorly filling out forms that really need to be simplified. Steve Malanga, editor for Real Clear Markets and a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute believes that the end of errors could be found in the act of simplicity.
Exclusive! Identity of Famous Hens And Their Keeper Revealed! Final Hearing Before City Council Tues
Culture War piece by Rev. Miles
(1/21/10)
Two Brentwood hens have become world famous over a back yard dispute regarding their presence. An angry neighbor seems intent on putting a pox upon the chickens, accusing them off smelling bad, spreading bird flu, and pooping in her yard (located next door behind a high fence). Not only that, the neighbor charges, the eggs they lay will attract wild animals which could endanger her cat. Serious charges indeed. This has the hens setting on the edge of their nests as they approach the final hearing of their fate at the Brentwood City Council Meeting this Tuesday, January 26th. A big crowd is expected.
‘The Fort Hood Report: Why No Mention of Islam?‘
Political Correctness piece by Offsite
(1/21/10)
The U.S. military’s just-released report into the Fort Hood shootings spends 86 pages detailing various slipups by Army officers but not once mentions Major Nidal Hasan by name or even discusses whether the killings may have had anything to do with the suspect’s view of his Muslim faith. And as Congress opens two days of hearings on Wednesday into the Pentagon probe of the Nov. 5 attack that left 13 dead, lawmakers want explanations for that omission.
