The Global Carbon Footprint Scam
GreeenIsm piece by Alan Caruba
(11/21/09)
I never cease to marvel at the environmental alarmists who create one “crisis” after another using wretchedly bad “science” to support their scams. On Tuesday, November 24, the Global Footprint Network is going to “release new data on the Ecological Footprint of 100 nations and humanity as a whole, and the current ledgers are sobering.“

We Don’t Like to Stock That, It Sells Too Well
Socialism piece by Guest:
Michael R. Shannon (11/20/09)
I imagine the Postmaster General grinds his teeth when he thinks about how much easier his life would be, if he had a monopoly like the “public” schools. If customers were forced to buy the equivalent postage before they were allowed to ship FEDEX or UPS his competition worries would be over.

‘Hacked e-mails reveal global-warming fraud?‘
Global Warming piece by Offsite
(11/20/09)
Top climate scientists discuss hiding contrary data, marginalizing dissenters - Officials at a key global warming research center in the United Kingdom have authenticated a series of e-mails and other documents apparently taken from their computer system by a hacker, but they cannot explain what scientists in internal exchanges meant by references to a “trick” that would “hide the decline” of global temperatures nor by instructions to delete contrary data.
Civilian Trials Provide Soapboxes for Terrorists
Terrorism piece by J. D. Longstreet
(11/20/09)
So now we are going to try the terrorists in civilian federal trials in New York City, just blocks away from the site of the former World Trade Center Twin Towers, where 3,000 innocents were murdered. Can you possible see how this move by the Obama Regime makes the US appear weak, indecisive, and just plain DUMB to our enemies?

The Greens Hate Energy, America, and You!
GreeenIsm piece by Alan Caruba
(3/15/09)
I doubt that most Americans have a clue what the leading Green organizations like Friends of the Earth and the Sierra Club have as their agenda for 2009. They have already made it known their members, so I will share it with you.
Russian mobsters consort with terrorists, slave traders
Crime piece by Jim Kouri
(3/15/09)
From Himalayan villages to Eastern European cities, people - especially women and girls - are attracted by the prospect of a well-paid job as a domestic servant, waitress or factory worker. Human traffickers recruit victims through fake advertisements, mail-order bride catalogues and casual acquaintances. Upon arrival at their destination, victims are placed in conditions controlled by traffickers while they are exploited to earn illicit revenues. Many are physically confined, their travel or identity documents are taken away and they or their families are threatened if they do not cooperate.
The Crisis of Man Made Hemispheric Climate Change
Climate Change piece by J.J. Jackson
(3/15/09)
There is a looming crisis barreling down the tracks at Americans like a runaway locomotive. Yet most are completely unaware of this pending danger. This danger is none other than man made Hemispheric Climate Change. Yes, mock me if you like but the data is clear. I have been looking at data over the past month and have noted a disturbing trend. Temperatures are rising and there is only one obvious cause; our consumerist economy driving industry to pollute our planet and belch carbon dioxide into the atmosphere combined with our increased burning of fossil fuels to stay warm.

Lawmakers trash the Constitution
Congress piece by Offsite
(3/14/09)
It appears that the lawmakers who assemble in Washington have no idea what the Constitution says, or worse, they simply don’t care.
‘Should Church Leaders Obey Oppressive Laws?‘
Big Brother piece by Don Boys, Ph.D.
(3/14/09)
Well, the jerks in the Connecticut legislature are at it again. They are trying to control Roman Catholic Churches. It is time for religious leaders to tell the politicians and federal judges, “Come and get us because we will not comply with your orders.“ Such leaders will be more likely to get away with that resistance if they repudiate their tax-exempt status which is the modern day golden calf that almost all pastors bow before.
‘Which states are worst for personal freedom?‘

Strategic Advantage of Missile Defense Seems Shelved
National Security piece by Kevin Roeten
(3/14/09)
The new short film “33 Minutes” [article](1) illuminates how much time we have to kiss some of our butts goodbye if a nuclear strike is launched by Korea or Iran against the US. But which of those countries is aligned with a terrorist organization? We know Iran is, but not sure about Korea.

‘Has Illegal Immigration’s Effect on Education Become the ‘Third Rail’ of Politics?‘
EdukShun piece by Offsite
(3/13/09)
Traditionally, Social Security has been the “third rail” of politics but we now have another third rail - illegal immigration and education. Politicians step all over themselves asking for more and more money to be spent on education; ignoring the fact that money alone does not make for a good public education. Another thing we are not allowed to mention in a discussion about public education quality and costs is the impact of illegal immigration; otherwise we are labeled “racists.“

Big Brother piece by Offsite

Cause For Celebration: An Examination Of The Cosmological Argument
Religion piece by Frederick Meekins
(3/12/09)
Often the classics rank among the best. Even though time passes and intellectual fashions change, certain insights and perspectives address something so profound they forever earn a place as a steadfast pillar among sifting seas of opinion. Much of what comes after such a point simply serves as either confirmation, renunciation, clarification, or criticism. Though he lived and labored during the Middle Ages in the 1200‘s, the cosmological argument of Thomas Aquinas has withstood the test of time as one of those stalwart pillars of the mind pointing to a rational basis for belief in God.

We are becoming a non-trust public. Makes sense.
Dems Push Another Fake ‘Fair’ Bill That Will Kill Online Science Research Publishing
Demercrats piece by Warner Todd Huston
(3/12/09)
Why are Democrats such liars? I know that sounds harsh, but this penchant for labeling a law, act, or bill with a lie as a title is gallingly Orwellian and it’s getting tiresome. We have the “Employee Free Choice Act” that takes away employee choice, the “Freedom of Choice Act” that takes away the freedom NOT to chose abortion, and now we have the “Fair Copyright in Research Works Act” that takes away the public’s fair access to scientific research papers without having to first spend a ton of money to access it.

Lawmakers shouldn’t refer tax increase to the ballot
Government piece by GoldwaterInstitute:
Tom Patterson (3/11/09)
Harry Truman once said of tough decisions, “the buck stops here.“ Some Arizona lawmakers, though, appear to prefer that the buck stop “over there” as they consider referring a tax increase to the ballot rather than making the call themselves.
No Happy Face: Illegal Alien Crime Wave Continues
Crime piece by Jim Kouri
(3/11/09)
Complex problems are associated with illegal aliens who commit crimes. Criminal aliens tend to be drug-oriented and violent, often preying on members of their own cultures. If deported, they frequently use new names to reenter the United States and establish residence in different cities.

MSM piece by Offsite
(3/11/09)
CNN commentator Jack Cafferty returned to his routine of bashing conservatives and Republicans in a column published on CNN(1) on Tuesday titled “GOP becoming a cartoon.“ He accused the Republican Party of “pandering to the right wing nuts that comprise Rush Limbaugh’s radio audience,“ and listed this as the primary reason that the GOP lost the 2008 presidential election. Cafferty also bashed Republicans for being too busy “obstructing Obama’s programs and criticizing the Democrats’ spending plans that are aimed at trying to bring the country out of a horrible recession.“

Skeptics, Deniers, and World Class Scientists
Global Warming piece by Alan Caruba
(3/11/09)
After spending time at the largest gathering of world class climatologists, meteorologists, physicists, engineers, and economists, among other very brainy folks, I came away with the feeling that the battle remains joined by this hearty group, otherwise derided as skeptics and deniers of global warming.

America Apologizes to Britain
Politics piece by Offsite
(3/10/09)
In 1998, Bill Clinton offered apologies on behalf of “all of America” for crimes of the past. Clinton apologized on behalf of America for slavery and maltreatment of blacks. The Constitution grants the president certain powers of pardon and parole, but it does not make him the public confessor for the nation. In 2003, George W. Bush apologized for the American role in the slave trade, something also that transcended his role as president. Five years later, a Democrat-controlled Congress apologized for slavery and for Jim Crow laws. Congress has no business apologizing for the nation.
