Facts, Not Slams, About Sarah Palin
By J. Grant Swank Jr. (09/24/08)
Per Ronald Kessler, chief Washington correspondent of Newsmax.com, Sarah Palin is fact not fiction. The fabrications circulated by her opposition have tried to smear this woman. They lie.
Sarah Palin put the Alaskan governor’s plane on eBay. She finally sold it via another venue, putting into the state’s treasury $2.2 million.
Sarah Palin never banned library books, though liberals spout she did. The supposed list of books included Harry Potter’s, the latter not even published at the time the bogus list was circulated. Her opposition said she banned library publications.
Sarah Palin as governor rejected the “Bridge to Nowhere,” putting federal earmark moneys elsewhere. Her opposition say the opposite.
Sarah Palin never wanted Alaska to secede from the United States. Her opposition said she did want to secede.
Sarah Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, though someone told the New York Times she was a member of that Party. That individual has since publicly apologized for spreading the lie.
Sarah Palin’s election results in Wasilla equalled 70% plus, though liberals have said residents there are “disenchanted with her.”
Sarah Palin is for cutting taxes. In Wasilla she slashed taxes by 75%. She cut her own salary by 10%. Her opposition broadcasts that she has no idea how to deal with taxation.
Sarah Palin, GOP member, led the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservative Commission in 2003, investigating the commission’s chairman, Randy Reudrich. He at the time was GOP state chairman as well. Reudrich owned up to his ethics infractions and so resigned from his position.
Sarah Palin cut $2 billion from the state budget. Her opposition seeks to hide this fact.
Sarah Palin put in place ethics reform laws. Her opposition, not particularly ethical in their own dealings, muffles this outstanding accomplishment.
Sarah Palin created energy resources, more than were prior to her election. She paid Alaskans royalties from oil production. That resulted in each Alaskan in the state receiving a rebate of $1,200 in addition to $2,069 in dividends. Her opposition does not want this plus getting out.
Sarah Palin inexperienced?
Sarah Palin’s record shows just the opposite, regardless of the liars aplenty who daily seek to smear her.
