'Is There A 'New Media' or A New MSM?'

I am beginning to wonder. A significant portion of the 'New Media' is starting to look like it is totally profit oriented.
There is no argument against profit for any business, however when that motive starts to seriously influence the product without regard to quality, it's time to review the vendor.
I grant that the current MSM has no clue about profit, because they continue to self-destruct and become less capable of profit by ignoring their customer base.
The question here is will the current "New Media" fall into the same trap?
In some circles, FNC is considered to be "New Media" but as each day passes it drifts further and further to the Left.
The "big guns" of the "New Media" seem less and less interested in the general drift of the country and only concentrate on what makes money.
If the Demercrats get total control in January 2009, talk radio will be toast and freedom of information on the Internet will be seriously attacked.
An obvious target on the Internet will be the "big guns" of the "New Media", since they don't cow to the Demercrat Progressive Socialist agenda.
So as the trap closes will the "New Media" big guns become another tool of the Socialists to preserve their income?
If they go that route, most probably they will slowly crumble in a similar manner as the current MSM.
And so perhaps the "New Media" is a very fragile concept?
It's pretty obvious that the minor players such as AD will be slaughtered by the ACLU (American Communist Litigation Unit) and the other Socialist mind-control machines.
Something will evolve to replace the missing "New Media" should the Progressive Socialists manage to quash it.
However, if the Demercrat Progressive Socialists don't get control of the Government things will continue to wander forward.
Perhaps the "New Media" big guns will appreciate the fact and support the "New Media" little guns to do a CYA?
