Rep. Virginia Foxx Accused of Ties to Rogue Lobbyist Jack Abramoff

The Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee is taking aim at a first-term congresswoman from North Carolina over allegations of ties to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina's Fifth District is accused by the DCCC and Mark Dulaney Glen of receiving campaign contributions from Republican congressmen Tom DeLay, who's currently under indictment, and Bob Ney, the first congressman to be implicated based on Abramoff's guilty plea with the Department of Justice.
According to campaign finance records, Rep. Fox received $15,000.00 from Delay's Political Action Committee (ARMPAC) and another $5,000.00 from Ney.
Subsequently, according to the Democrats, Foxx went along with a proposal by DeLay, while he was still the GOP Majority Leader, to "weaken House ethics rules."
While Foxx is not considered a target in the Justice Department's investigation, they are still questioning Abramoff as part of his plea deal regarding his lobbying and campaign contributions to both Republicans and Democrats.
